Raquita Baby Story

It is always an exciting day to photograph a new baby coming into the world. It is an extra special day when the parents are dear friends. This was such a day for me. Friend and fellow photographer Raqutia (Pinxitphoto.com) and her husband Jerry welcomed their first son to their family and I was blessed to be there to capture the day.

First of all there was a lot of waiting as Raquita had a scheduled c-section at 5 PM....I got there about 4... and so we waited...

Jerry texted...


Raquita sat there patiently but was a little bored and anxious...


And Raqutia's dad just watched her...


Finally her Dr. came in and said it was babytime!!





You ready Jerry?????



Because of the c-section they made Jerry dress head to toe in protective gear. Of course they did not account for the fact that Jerry is built like a line-backer so he burst out of that one Incredible Hulk style (this made him very happy and I love Raquita in the background cracking up at his antics)





New protective gear :)



And off he went to with the Dr. to go get baby Jerimiah



Now the REAL waiting began.



I think Raquita's dad and I was completely obsessed with the time. He kept checking his watch and I kept taking pictures of clocks. I really dig this one!!




So back they came with newborn Jerimiah on board.



Doesn't Raquita look proud!



As was her dad!



And Jerry just beamed!! After 2 girls he FINALLY got his boy!!!



And what a sweet baby boy he is :)





He never cried at all until the nurse started bathing him...just like a little boy to not want a bath!!



Then Raquita's mom came and brought the girls to meet their new brother. Look at all his hair!!!









I asked each of the girls what they thought about their new baby and clearly they were thrilled!!



At one point Gabby asked "can we take him home now" Of course that just made me tear up!!
